A European Central Bank appointed ICS Solutions to help them provide tools to allow more efficient sharing of information across the organisation, and simplified ways of working to support analytical and operational processes. Their project objective was to deliver the foundation tools to enable better collaboration across their organisation, resulting in a change and improvement to the way that their organisation’s staff worked together; helping them to share and access information and ideas with more ease; improving decision making, business agility and responsiveness. This new way of working supports team, cross-team and cross-division collaboration avoiding the use of email for critical information sharing.
ICS Solutions recognised that phase one of the project needed to be a baseline solution, and that phases two and beyond would support the delivery of applications that could be built on top of this baseline solution, essentially SharePoint as a Service. The first application that was implemented by ICS Solutions was Collaboration as a Service, allowing The Bank the ability to quickly collaborate across departments and sections, and break down information sharing barriers, allow them to report and react to market conditions in a timely manner.
The Bank selected key candidates as a mechanism for the SharePoint as a Service program. ICS Solutions placed significant emphasis on corporate Governance, Adoption and Knowledge Transfer, ensuring that The Bank was business ready. As well as this ICS Solutions educated The Bank to enable them to successfully build applications that further leverages their baseline implementation in house.
